Used GR building to re slate my roof. after 3 weeks 2 slates came off. Repeatedly rang and left messages and he finally came back to sort it out after not appearing the first date given. 3 more slates have just come off. Even taking into account the strong winds I find it unacceptable that this can happen. I will not be asking him it sort it this time as I have no confidence he will do the job correctly and have made alternative arrangements.

Great job done by the guys at CKJ Construction, from the initial consultation through to the work itself. The job was a combination of pulling up, cleaning, re-laying and pointing tiles around the perimeter of the house as well as removing some bushes, putting down turf and installing new sleepers. Don't hire - he quotes price (that then increases once he's started work), doesn't show up for weeks on end - despite promises to come, Then, after payment, disappears and ghosts the customer leaving the job unfinished - AVOID!
We did not proceed with the job in the end but can confirm that the quotation process with Dectel Construction was efficient. The quotation itself was in line with expectations.

PB installed a new Velux window where an old skylight had been positioned. The job turned out to be more complicated than first anticipated. However, PBs staff stayed as long as the task took (working into the dark and coming back the next day) and charged no extra. They were punctual, polite, friendly, and professional and the job was reasonably priced.
im an independent build /bricklayer by trade been building now for 20-25 years got refs and a lot of experience in the trade any job I cant do I have people who can please give me a call what have you got to lose all work done to high standard
What a load of tosh. You cant put it right, it needs knocking down. The only people who have worked on this house are a plumber and plasterer in the hall. The plasterer will get repeat work when i need him. The plumber does all my plumbing and gas needs. Tradesmen are welcome Mark, that excludes you as your a chancer mate. Advising people to stay away, you've got a nerve !.
