Matthew overcharged for materials. He told me he paid £40 at Screwfix for the spikes. I was shocked and asked for a copy of the receipt but he didn't provide it. I did pay him in cash for the work then checked the price at Screwfix. The cost is £29.99 not £40. As a result, I cannot recommend him.

Will not be using again. Very disappointed with results. Initially, it looked a lot tidier than it had been but, after returning from Hospital and seeing the reality of what had been done, I was very disappointed. My Strawberry Plants had disappeared, my Pear Tree Blossom had disappeared, my Aquilegia had been replanted and was now dead, my Lawn Rake had been broken it two and hidden. The £280 I spent was a waste as it should have been for what I can only describe as the destruction of my Garden

Good communication, turned up on time. Fitting was atrocious - five hours fitting a stair carpet, which was left with holes, not stretched or properly attached. He didn't know how to fit turns or curves. Our woodwork was damaged badly with his knife. When I politely pointed these things out, he collected his tools and left without taking payment and said that he "hadn't wanted to do the job anyway" despite the fact he viewed before and quoted. Carpet may have to be replaced. Very stressful/awkward.
