I must say that that I was very impressed with my dealings with ASG from start to finish. Shocking work. We paid £3,400 for a brand new bathroom with new flooring throughout the home and this builder James Baker who runs under various business names from J W to The Dark Spark electrical in Spalding has destroyed the bathroom and his so called friends have placed a worthless and extremely shoddy bad job. A 5 year old could do better. We are now taking legal action after a flooding, no work for 2 weeks and wall panels that are such a bad job we have to get a new bathroom fitted.
We are an established company (although new to Rated People) we have been specialising in garden land scaping and fencing projects for over 10 years and in that time we have carried out numerous successful projects for many happy clients. Honesty, integrity and value for money is what we believe is our key quality.
In October, quoted £800 to level and turf 80 sqm. Left the soil to harden. He came in April and remeasured. This time, it magically increased to 96 sqm and wanted £960. After completing without any levelling, there was still an area left. When asked to lay the excess turf in the truck, said it is for another customer and left. When I measured the turfed area, it came to 81 sqm. Contacted him to return the 15 sqm, wants another £200. Now asking not to contact, so leaving this feedback. Untrustworthy workman.

The firm quoted from photos. When they eventually turned up (missed one booking and 2 hours late for the next) the guy was on the roof for 2 mins before more than doubling the quote. We felt pressured to pay, it was very stressful. They then offered a discount for cash. We have not received a receipt or a copy of the 10 year guarantee we were promised. We paid best part of a grand for 2 hours work. Don’t be a mug like me get several quotes from reputable people.

They called me to book in a job and moved the job time twice in the same day and felt it was appropriate to come out at 8pm at night. I'd wasted my whole Saturday waiting in for a quote. Ironic considering the name of their company.

Shocking after sales service - suggest to avoid at all costs. Spent almost 3K on various roof repairs and upgrades, one of which was adding dry verges to house and garage. Some of these blew away within 2 days and despite promising to re-fix on many occasions they have failed to follow up on thier promise and alleged 10 year gaurantee. This is shocking, especially condiering they advised it would only take 1 hr to fix. Legal action seems inevitable.
