We work with all aspects of property maintenance, renovation, expansion and design. We are a small family business with over 40 years collective experience. I was trained using the traditional methods by two highly skilled craftsman; a cabinet maker and a boat builder. I have a vast and varied skill set covering most trades having worked both in the UK and abroad on both residential and large scale commercial properties. The philosophy at Palace Gate is to provide high quality and an excellent finish at a reasonable and transparent price. Quotations and advice are offered freely without obligation. We use high quality fixtures and fittings, sourced at reasonable prices - this combined with excellent craftsmanship guarantees the longevity of our work. We listen carefully to our customers requirements and offer our own experience and expertise to come up with various options, at all times working in partnership with our customers. We identify and agree a clear way forward before work begins. We recognise that it can be stressful hiring a new tradesmen and we want our customers to be relaxed, informed and completely happy from start to finish. We offer a very friendly approachable and highly professional service to home owners and tenants. We also work professionally alongside architects, surveyors and representatives from the local authority ensuring building regulations are fully complied with. We are also happy to partner with Estate Agents and other third parties on the client's behalf. We offer an excellent and efficient project management service to all of our clients as standard. Consistent clear communication and proactive thinking are our strengths. We are HMRC registered and fully insured. Palace Gate Buildings Services Limited is registered with Companies House as a private limited company. At the end of any work that we carry out we ensure that all of our jobs are left in a clean and tidy condition. Mike and his team are really lovely people, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of comments from people passing and neighbours on how impressed they are with the speed of construction and the final results. They were very meticulous on leaving the site clean each day after work. I would definitely recommend them and would not hesitate to us them again.

Matthew overcharged for materials. He told me he paid £40 at Screwfix for the spikes. I was shocked and asked for a copy of the receipt but he didn't provide it. I did pay him in cash for the work then checked the price at Screwfix. The cost is £29.99 not £40. As a result, I cannot recommend him.

Hello all, my name is Steve, and i am a time served electrician of over 40 years experience. My son Edward has trained as a plasterer. My partner Sara is a very accomplished designer and painter and decorator. I have worked for the electricity board for many years and have industrial and home electrical nstallation experience. Showers, electric heating, underfloor heating, extra sockets, rewires, lighting, fuse boards, etc My son has just undertaken a 6 week plastering course, and with myself being self trained and helping, I am also trying to build up his business profile We are highly trustworthy and give a very fair price, We do not like or want to rip people off. I am happy to do emergency or weekend work. I also worked as a kitchen/bathroom fitter for John Lewis for a number of years and therefore am very conscientious of the quality of work expected from high-end clients. I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!
