Booked Christian for carpet fitting and paid a £200 deposit. He failed to turn up on the agreed day while I was waiting at the property, then sent vague, last-minute excuses about damaged materials. Phone calls were ignored and communication was evasive. Confidence lost due to the lack of professionalism and reliability, totally wasted my day, and I had to cancel and now pursue recovery of the deposit. Very poor experience — proceed with extreme caution.”

Not a comfortable experience. Upped the price upon completion after agreement. Agreement had already been pushed beyond the max quote. Had to come back out the following day to put right a leak left behind & stuffed badly made holes through exterior wall with kitchen towel. The work already needs rectifying again & new tradesperson is miffed at the work done & price charged. Feel vulnerable leaving this as he talked about someone else who’d left a negative review to me.

Apart from causing £350. worth of damage to my roof and electrics so far and ignoring my emails questioning why they didn't tell me. The job was done quickly and virtually to the agreed specification. Would I recommend them? Probably not just for not coming clean about the damage and not communicating. I had a quote from them for a fence which I was going to take up, also a couple of other jobs to quote for but I am now looking elsewhere. I have no confidence they will tell me if something goes wrong.

Very pleased with the work carried out looks amazing Having to put up with an awkward neighbor didn't deter them from doing and completing the job. The price put in was very reasonable. Previously a Production Engineer, but decided to change to a job that was more hands on with a good social connection. I chose building work – so I have a good balance of technical skills and practical skills gained over many year of working on Builds. My first two builds were complete builds from the ground up, so I had to seek out and get trades on-site to complete work I didn’t have the skills for. Over time I have carried out all sorts of work over the past few years from Setting out a site, Groundworks, Blockwork, Construction, Timber work/studding, Plaster boarding, Fitting kitchens and Bathroom, as well as Wooden Flooring and Tiling, and of course decorating. I leave plumbing, electrical work and plastering to the trades ( and have good contacts ) – but I have a good eye for detail but enjoy fitting kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting, and painting.
Interesting pattern with any review highlighting issues with Sheridan’s work. It’s always the customer that’s wrong. The subtext in his response, Sheridan openly accepts he didn’t complete the work but that’s okay because in his view it wasn’t essential. So if you want an amateur that quotes for and accepts a job, can’t stick to deadlines or manage the trades he uses to deliver to the estimated amount and after all of that decides what is and isn’t important, Shez is your man!! Otherwise avoid.
