Contractors made arrangements to call, arrived on time, they seemed very nice & efficient; however we did not receive a quote as promised, when I queried it; he apologized saying he thought he had emailed me to say it would be late as he had broken his collarbone. We didn't go ahead with the awning, but RB roofing did come and look at the job. The pillar is hollow, awning and wind loading put a huge stress on the fixings, so abandoned the idea. Richard was on time and easy to discuss the job with, pointing out the issues.
