He is a pleasant, reliable, knowledgeable and efficient worker, also an excellent communicator and problem solver. He and his team always left the site tidy at the end of each day. I have concerns about the validity of this contractor; I have been advised by an independent contractor that the work is of a poor standard and will need to be rectified. I also have evidence of dishonesty. He told me he needed extra money to replace wooden battens but refused to provide a receipt. Ii have security cameras and it was clear that he had not delivered them. The following day he said that his contractors had 'cut off the rotten bits' and used concrete. I am taking legal action.

A SUMMARY of issues follows. 1 - Plastering done is uneven. 2 - Did not allow plaster to dry before painting walls so already peeling off. 3 - Found number of areas where holes had been left, and had these not been pointed out would have been left. 4 - Wood not sanded before painting, incl. new skirting boards. 5 - Threats when I refused to pay!

Mike came, quoted £700 to do the weeding. Transferred £350 to bank to start immediately . He blew leaves off the snow for 5/10mins then asked for £50cash for weed killer which we declined and he then left. Next day van problems, too wet next day. We asked for a refund not heard since. I would pay after completion. Disappointing
