Deep Cleaning - Domestic
Do not hire Stephen Makinde from GeeMal cleaning services. Employed via Rated People to do a deep clean on my bungalow. Invoice was incorrectly paid twice and he has refused to refund it, despite repeated requests. Clearly has completely unethical and dubious business practices and I would not trust him in my house again

We strongly refute the claim that Stephen Makinde or GeeMal Cleaning Services operates with dubious or unethical practices. At no point has any proof of a double payment been provided by the customer, despite our repeated requests for evidence. We have conducted a thorough review and confirmed with our bank that no duplicate payment was received. If the customer believes an error occurred, we respectfully advise them to raise the matter with their own bank for further investigation.

I have a string of email and text exchanges from Stephen regarding this dating back to 26 June, including one where he acknowledges that he has found the double payment and just needs to wait for his partner to sign off on returning the money. That was dated 2 July. Since then I have not received any responses to emails or texts. I have raised this with my bank. Proof is available but has never been requested
